SEMINAR: "Flexibility, Resilience & Impact Across the Sectors" With Eric Martin

Eric Martin is an Associate Professor of Management in the Managing for Sustainability Program at Bucknell University. He earned a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from the University of Vermont, a master's degree in Public Administration from Indiana University, and a Ph.D. in Public Administration and Policy from the State University of New York at Albany.
Martin's work focuses on managing large scale systems for change and development. He works at the intersection of the three sectors (public, private and nonprofit) to find long-term sustainable change orientations for communities.

He discussed how to conceptualize concepts as strategic flexibility, sustainability, failing fast and building resilience  in terms of more basic organizational and interorganizational change. He also talked about relationships between the sectors and ways to create shared value and achieve collective impact that benefit multiple stakeholders. The most important part of the seminar was the application of the concepts in a workshop done by the students coached by Eric Martin.

The seminar was taught in the classroom E09 on the Facultad de Ciencias Económicas y Empresariales on January 27th at 12:30.
